	BY-LAWS March 20 06 ARTICLE I Preamble The name of this organization is the DALLAS SOCIETY FOR COATINGS TECHNOLOGY, hereinafter referred to as the Society, a constituent society of the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology, hereinafter referred to as the Federation. The Society is a cooperative, not-for-profit corporation maintained for the purpose of accomplishing the objectives set forth in these By-Laws and to serve the welfare and interest of the public. The objectives of the Society are: 1.The interchange of non-competitive practical and technical information and experience for the improvement in the development and manufacturing, and the elimination of wasteful methods in the paint, varnish, lacquer or printing ink industry, thus serving both the industry and the consumer. 2.Cooperation with the proper committees of the Federation, and through them, with the National Paint and Coatings Association, in matters pertaining to the technical work of the industry. 3.To promote sociability and cooperation in solving problems common to all members.
