ARTICLE II

Membership

A. Classes of Membership

1. Full Membership: Any individual who is employed by a manufacturer of the products of the protective or decorative coatings, printing ink, or allied industries, or by those firms that manufactures or sell raw materials, supplies, or equipment required by those industries.

2. Educator and Student Membership: Any individual who is a college or high school educator, or who is a student registered in an educational institution of recognized standing in a course of study in chemistry, engineering, physics or other related sciences leading to a degree, shall be eligible for Educator and Student Membership, but such membership shall terminate three months after the individual ceases to qualify.

3. Retired Membership: Any or Educator member shall be eligible for Retired Membership when he has severed his connection with his employer by nature of retirement due to age, disability or for reasons deemed suitable by the Dallas Society, and is no longer considered a permanent employee in the protective and decorative coatings or printing ink industries.

4. Society Honorary Membership: Any , Educator, or Retired Member who has rendered signal service to the Dallas Society shall be eligible for Society Honorary Membership in the Dallas Society.

5. Full Members Outside 100-Mile Radius Boundary Geographical Area of Dallas Society For Coatings Technology: Membership not within the boundaries is allowed provided applicant is not within the boundaries of another constituent Society. Any individual with same qualifications and requirements listed in Article II, Section A, Item 1 , is eligible for Full Membership in the Dallas Society.

6. Local Membership: Any individual meeting the requirements of Article II, Section A, 1-5, classes of membership is eligible for local membership in D SCT . Membership in FSCT is not required.

Except as otherwise provided by these By-Laws, membership in the Society shall terminate for any individual who ceases to be eligible for membership, or for whom dues have not been paid in accordance with these By-Laws.
