ARTICLE II

B. Membership Application

1. Applicants for Full Membership must be proposed by a Full Member and endorsed by another Full Member. All such applications shall be executed using the standard Federation form, signed by the applicant, and referred to the Society Membership Committee. Once due payment is received, at the next regular meeting , the individual’s name will be announced and recognized by the Society Membership. A copy of the application, bearing the Society Secretary's signature , shall be forwarded to the Executive Secretary of the Federation.

2. The transfer of any individual member from one firm to another within the jurisdiction of this Society shall be accomplished by the procedure at outlined in Section 1 above .

3. Nominations for Federation Honorary Membership may originate in this Society, and shall require a favorable majority vote of all Voting Members present, voting by secret ballot at a regular meeting. The Society shall then refer the nomination to the respective Council Members and the Secretaries of each Constituent Society, and shall direct the Federation Secretary to notify the Society of its decision.

4. Names proposed for Society Honorary Membership shall be submitted to the Membership Committee and, if approved, such names shall be submitted to the membership of the Society at a regular meeting, and election shall be deferred until a subsequent regular meeting. Election to Society Honorary Membership shall be by 95% favorable secret ballot of Voting members present and voting.

5. Applicants for Educator and Student Membership shall apply for membership using the standard Federation form signed by the applicant and referred to the Membership Committee. The application shall be processed in the same manner as the application for Full Membership as described in Article I I , Section B, and Item 1.

6. Applicants for Retired Membership shall apply for membership using the standard Federation form signed by the applicant and referred to the Membership Committee or other appropriate committee of the Society. A copy of the application bearing the Secretary's signature shall then be forward ed to the Executive Secretary of the Federation.

7. The transfer of any member from another Society within the Federation shall be handled as a new application. Procedures applicable to the specific class of the applicant shall be initiated by the Membership Chairman.

8. Applicants for Local D SCT Membership are subject to the approval of the Executive Board.
